In charge of the competitive programs at Lakeshore Soccer Club
Raffi has been an avid soccer fan and a player since his early years. His passion for the sport evolved from player to Assistant Coach in 2006 for his daughter’s U5 Recreational team.
Raffi’s commitment and goal to develop soccer players, and to instill the love of the sport in young athletes pushed him forward to the role as Head Coach at the competitive level from U8-U13. He holds an ESP(DEP) coaching license and he has coached both of his daughters at the competitive level.
He has continued his involvement with and service to Lakeshore Soccer Club by overseeing the competitive program, since February 2020 as VP Competitive. One of Raffi's main objectives is to ensure the continued growth of Women's soccer.
My name is Chelsea Baylis and I am the VP of Recreational for the past 2 years.
I coach both of my boys as I am soccer enthusiast!
I played for Lac St Louis Lakers, the Quebec Selects, John Abbott College and Concordia University.
I have been with LSC since the beginning of my senior soccer career in 2003.
I look forward to meeting you on the pitch!
I have been playing soccer competitively for 25 years, 14+ years of which have been with Lakeshore soccer. Since 2015, I have held a couple different roles within Lakeshore soccer. As the VP administration, I oversee the administrative staff and the day-to-day activities of the office. We have always strived to offer our membership a simple and enjoyable experience off the field. Our goal is to provide best in class customer service so players and parents can concentrate on the sport they love!
I began my soccer career at a very young age with Dollard. When I was 18 years old, I made the switch over to Lakeshore. I have been playing in for Lakeshore for the past 16 years. I have been a head coach for Lakeshore for the past 13 years in the Metro Senior’s division, coaching both men and women at a variety of different levels, from recreational to Competitive A and AA Divisions. I have been in my current role with Lakeshore for the past 5 years.
I have been playing the game of soccer from the age of 6 years old and represented Lac St. Louis region as a West Island Lakers player from U13 – U19. I have imparted the passion for the game down to my kids who have both been playing soccer with Lakeshore from the age of 4. I’ve been coaching with Lakeshore since 2014, following my kids as they’ve grown with the game.
As a board member since 2020 and responsible for the Technical Program, I am focused on providing our members with exciting soccer programs for participants of all ages and skill levels (grass roots, recreational and competitive). This means ensuring we have a solid mix of enthusiastic volunteer coaches and qualified Technical Staff collaborating together to deliver a positive soccer experience. We will continue working with our volunteer coaches and our Technical Staff, providing on-field training that will continue to strengthen the quality of our programs. It’s the Club’s coaches and staff that will help our members grow as soccer players and continue to be passionate about the game of soccer for years to come.
When I moved to Canada from the UK, I was pleased to find a soccer club for my young children. We joined Lakeshore in 1983 and I volunteered as assistant coach for my daughter’s team, and in time, I coached my son’s and my second daughter’s teams too.
I also joined Lakeshore’s Executive as the VP Administration. The Club’s fast-growing enrolment in the 80’s was both pleasing to see and a further challenge, especially in times of new computer technology but limited office equipment. Remember, this was long before blasting emails and text messages with just a click. Our office had one landline phone so urgent information for all coaches might sometimes be printed in the office then delivered by my 3 kids on their bikes. We were resourceful!
Over the last 30+ years there have been huge changes and innovations and I have enjoyed working with our creative volunteers. Their skills and enthusiasm have helped the Executive and the Management functions of the Club evolve very effectively. In recent years I have been happily maintaining goal equipment in my role as VP ON-FIELD-SERVICES.
I first became involved in soccer as a coach, at the behest of a friend of mine by the name of Ron Sutherland, whose father was one of the founding members of what is now Lakeshore Soccer. Ron and I spent several years together with the Pointe Claire Amateur Soccer Association, before I left to come to Lakeshore. I then began coaching house league, and continued my career as a referee, with Lakeshore. I eventually became referee in chief, and after three years assumed my current role as Vice-President Finance. I retired as a referee two years ago but am still coaching.
