Why Shoot Out Fields?
Normally, if your game ends in a draw, it will proceed directly to a shoot-out, on the same field on which your game was played.
There are circumstances where the shoot-out will have to occur at the designated shoot-out field which are:
- The field you are playing on becomes unplayable (i.e. lightening, flooded field, etc.). If this happens, both teams should proceed directly to the shoot-out field.
- Your game could not be played at all for whatever reason. If this happens, check back here for instructions on when to report to the shoot-out field. We will post instructions like "report to the shoot-out field 1 hour after your scheduled game time." If your shoot-out time is scheduled, there is no need to report that you are proceeding to the shoot-out field. In the absence of any schedule, report to the shoot-out field at your designated game time.
- Even if conditions are good enough at your field to hold a shoot-out, the referee can still decide to send you to the designated shoot-out field in order to keep the games on-time. Keeping the games on time is critical since the Knock-out cup is very demanding on referees, scheduling wise.
If you must go to the shootout field because your game was interrupted, you have 60 minutes to get your team to the shootout field starting from the time your game was interrupted. The time the game was interrupted will be written on the game sheet by the referee.
