2012 REFEREE OUTLINE
1. January 9th, 2012 - Senior Referee meeting
: Time/location: 19h00- 21h00 at the Lakeshore Soccer office
: Mentoring
: Assessments
: The 2012 referee business plan
: Pizza and drinks will be served.
2. January 16th – Returning Referee meeting
: Time/location: 19:00-21:00 in the Beaconsfield Annex (303
Beaconsfield Blvd)
: To review the business plan & FIFA rules
: Ref. Assignor Cheryl will be on hand to discuss/review the various
procedures and policies (ie: 48 hour rule…)
3. February 13th and 20th – New Ref MENTORING/ASSEMENT Clinics
: Time/location: 19:00-21:00 at the Lakeshore Soccer office
: Open to returning Mentors.
: Ref. Assignor Cheryl will be there at least on the 13th.
4. March 5th – LINESMEN Clinic
: Time/location: 19:00-21:00 at the Lakeshore Soccer office
: Mandatory for ALL new linesmen/referees
: Optional for returning referees and/or anyone interested in the 4th official
position.
5. NEW REFEREE clinics
: Time/location: Each session will take place at the Lakeshore Soccer Office
from 19:00-21:00
Dates: March 19th and March 26th
April 2nd, 9th, 16th and 23rd
: Mandatory attendance for all new referees and linesmen.
6. April 28th/29th weekend
: Time/location: Smiley field in Kirkland
: Both Saturday and Sunday from 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM
: Competitive team – exhibition game weekend
: Referee training/practical and observation
: Mandatory for ALL referees/linesmen to attend/participate
: All referees/linesmen will be paid an honorarium for their time spent over the two day weekend.
7. May 8th – Pre Season general referee meeting
: Time/location: Beaconsfield Annex (303 Beaconsfield Blvd) From
19:00-21:00
: Introduction to the Season
: Mandatory for ALL referees to attend
: Pizza and beverages to be served
: The referee business plan will be presented
: An agenda will be posted prior to the meeting; which will include the mention of a guest speaker.
: Door prize
8. May 12th – Recreational teams; exhibition game day
Time/location: City One field in Beaconsfield
From 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM
On field rotational training and off field observation
Mandatory attendance for ALL referees and linesmen
Honorarium given to all in attendance (refs/linesmen)
9. July 23rd – Mid Season general referee meeting
: Time/location: Beaconsfield Annex (303 Beaconsfield Blvd)
: From 19:00-21:00
: Mandatory for all referees to attend
: Pay check pick up
: Soccerfest availability
: Door prize
: Surprise guest speaker
10. October 2nd – Final general referee meeting
: Time/location: Beaconsfield Annex (303 Beaconsfield Blvd)
: From 19:00-21:00
: Mandatory for all referees to attend
: Pay check pick up
: Recap/revision of the season
: Referee ‘open floor’ discussion
: Surprise guest speaker
