LSC:About Us

We can trace back the origins of the Lakeshore Soccer Club to the Beaconsfield Amateur Soccer Association established in 1966. Since then the objective has been to encourage and promote the game of soccer within its jurisdiction. Today, this jurisdiction includes Baie D'Urfe, Beaconsfield, Kirkland, Ste-Anne-de-Bellevue and Senneville.

With over 4500 members, the Lakeshore Soccer Club is one of the biggest in all of Canada. The Club is a member of the Lac St-Louis Regional Soccer Association. Teams from the Lakeshore Soccer Club are represented in the Metropolitan League and in the Lac St-Louis Youth Soccer League.

For 30 years, the Lakeshore Soccer Club has hosted and organized Soccerfest, the main recreational soccer event in the Province of Quebec. Over 140 teams come to Lakeshore in August of each year to participate in this event dedicated to the recreational player.

With so many recreational players to draw from, Lakeshore has traditionally fielded strong teams in the competitive leagues in which it participates. The high level of participation in the Clubs recreational House League is a tribute to the scores of volunteers that come out to coach, assist, and manage those teams. From all the kids that come out to play, learn and develop: THANK YOU.

Club Philosophy

The Lakeshore Soccer Club's primary focus is to provide a total, well-rounded and positive soccer experience for the player, coach, referee, and parent.

For players, the emphasis will be on the development of each and every player so that their experience with the Lakeshore Soccer Club will encourage them to continue their participation in soccer with renewed enthusiasm and a sense of accomplishment.

For coaches and referees, the club will emphasize continual training and ensure that they impart the philosophy of the club on all our members.

The Lakeshore Soccer Club is a place to learn and enjoy the game of soccer!

Coaching Philosophy

The coaches are key representatives of the Lakeshore Soccer Club and, as such, need to present the club's mission and philosophy in all aspects of their efforts with the club.

Our coaches must ensure that, through their efforts, the Lakeshore Soccer Club maintains the highest level of professional conduct and commitment to our membership. We can maximize this by:

  • Providing and maintaining an atmosphere conducive to the learning and enjoyment of soccer.
  • Taking every opportunity to attend the numerous coaching clinics provided by the club and always striving to be better coaches.
  • Maintaining the club's focus and priorities as it pertains to player development and participation and encouraging the parents to do the same.
  • Encouraging and challenging all players to, above all, become skilled players with a sound understanding of the game.
