Coaching Certification
House League Coaches
The LSC recommends that all our coaches receive appropriate training for the level they are coaching. Each year, the club sponsors coaching clinics that are mandatory and require a minimum commitment. We encourage the house league coaches to also consider the higher levels of training that is available (See Inter-City Coaches below).
Inter-City Coaches
As a minimum requirement, inter-city coaches should hold a Canadian Soccer Association Coaching Certification as per the following schedule:
-
U13 and below
- Community Youth Coach (obtained in 1st year of coaching)
- Community Youth Coach & level 1 Theory (obtained in 2nd year of coaching)
- Community Youth coach Certified (obtained in 3rd year of coaching)
-
U14 and older
- Community coach Senior (obtained in 1st year of coaching)
- Community coach Senior & level 1 Theory (obtained in 2nd year of coaching)
- Community coach Senior Certified (obtained in 3rd year of coaching)
In addition, all inter-city coaches MUST attend the annual coaches symposium
sponsored by the Lac St Louis region.
